DESCRIPTION:(3rd to 5th ) Elocution compt. (6th to 8th ) Declamation compt.(9th to 10th )\n\nRecitation Competition: Beauty is the realm of poetry. Children enjoy the beauty of expression\, thoughts\,feeling\, rhyme\, rhythm and music of words. Taking all these facts into consideration\, an Inter House Poem Recitation Competition is hosted in the month of July for classes 3 to 5.\nElocution- Elocution refers to one’s capacity of communicating with others\, with\nthe use of exact speech and gestures.  We are always working  on the communication\, diction and general speaking skills of the children. To  provide a platform to the budding orators of our school\, we organize an Inter house  Elocution Competition. Students are  judged on the basis of clarity of speech\, memory\, pronunciation\, expression and body language. The objective of this activity is to make the children more expressive\, confident and spontaneous in their way of speaking.\n\nDeclamation: Declamation  originally defined as to cry out your emotions\, has got its definition altered over the years. Declamation\, derived from the Latin word ‘declaim’ means to speak in a rhetorical manner with a feel. This feel is to convey a social message with clarity\, emotion and persuasiveness. This competition will also serve as a platform to promote an exchange of ideas  among the students

For many kids\, summer camp is their first experience living “on their own” away from their parents. Of course there is supervision\, but this is still big step for kids! Being away from their usual routine allows kids to discover their own initiative\, as well as develop time management and practical life skills. The array of activities such as western dance\, self-defence\, story telling with bonfire\, singing and other several art activities conducted in the Summer Camp help kids grow into their selves and discover true purpose.

DESCRIPTION:During the last year when most countries have seen periods of confinement and people have had to limit their time spent outside\, books have proved to be powerful tools to combat isolation\, reinforce ties between people\, expand our horizons\, while stimulating our minds and creativity. On the occasion of World Book day\, ample number of activities such as Book Mark making activity\, book cover making activity etc were conducted class wise under the supervision of English Teachers\nThe book covers are incredibly important and play a vital role in our buying decisions. We’re all extremely judgemental about covers. The pandemic has also reminded us all of the importance of books and reading for comfort and escapism\, we’ve all needed it this past year. Reading activity and book talk session was also arranged for different classes to improve their spoken skills. Our only goal behind these activities is to engage students in reading and to have fun doing so!!

DESCRIPTION:Earth day is one of the biggest events observed on 22nd April every year. Earth Day activities are important not only on Earth Day but throughout the year. It was started as a protest against the activities that were devastating for the earth.But it is not just about celebrating for one day. Earth day activities are fun and are beneficial for everyone’s future. Such good activities are for the betterment of the earth and ultimately for all of us. It is not just about performing activities for the sake of celebrating these international events. A Special Online Assembly was conducted by the students of class VIII and IX in which they spoke about the need of Earth Day as well as took a pledge to protect Mother Earth\, keep the environment clean and plant more trees environment clean and plant more trees. Earth Day activities help to generate a sense of belonging among people for the earth.

SUMMARY:Vaishakhi activity
DESCRIPTION:Baisakhi is the Sikh New Year’s Day as it is not just a Spring-time harvest festival but also a day that is commemorative of the formation of the Khalsa Panth of warriors under Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.Every year it is celebrated on 13th April and after every 36 years\, on 14th April. In Scholar Mission School\, students were told about the Sikh’s festival and craft work was done in pre-primary classes and videos were shown to students to tell the importance of this festival. This festival is mainly celebrated in the region of Punjab. On this day Gurdwara’s wear a festive look as they gear up to welcome the footfall of thousands of devotees. Sikhs take a holy dip in nearby ponds or lakes and don festive gears. Nagar kirtan processions are carried out\, food-charity or Langar Seva is held.
